The Hale Wolf Pack Leveled Up their knowledge and acceptance of autism and diverse learners this week. Students participated in classroom talks, penny wars, an assembly, bubble ceremony, and a spirit week as part of Autism Acceptance Week.
The highlight of the week for students was watching Ms. Matustik, Mrs. Murphy and Dr. Kaszewicz get pied in the face as winners (or losers) of penny wars! Thank you to all that so generously donated to our penny wars fundraiser benefiting the Hale autism program.
In honor of Arbor Day, the Village of Schaumburg planted a tree next to our playground. Third and fourth grade students learned all about the White Oak tree, assisted with planting, and even got a special visit from Mayor Dailly! It truly was a PEAK moment!
We hope to see many of you at the Hale Interpretive Nature Walk on Sunday!

Attention Hale Parents and Grandparents, we need your help for a fun and successful Field Day. The date is set for Thursday, May 30, 2024. We have also scheduled a rain date for Friday, May 31, 2024 – should it rain on May 30, 2024. Volunteers are needed to help run the various stations. No experience necessary. You will receive a handout that day on how to run your station. Most games are simple and easy to run. We need adult volunteers for the morning session, the afternoon session, or both. The morning shift (8:45 – 11:15 AM) will be for grades K-2 and all ASD classrooms. The afternoon shift (12:45 – 3:00 PM) will be for grades 3-6. If you are interested in volunteering for the Hale Field Day please complete this form.
Parents of Kindergarten, 2nd and 6th grade students: Please note that by May 1st, 2024 you must show proof that your child has seen the dentist within the past 18 months. This is a requirement for all children in the State of Illinois. If the Smile Illinois dentist examines your child, you have fulfilled this obligation.

Registration for the 2024-25 school year is now available through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Please login to review the current information and make any necessary changes. Reminder you can also register your younger children who will be starting kindergarten in August 2024 through your portal account.
If you do not have a portal account, or cannot remember your username or password, please contact [email protected].
If you do not intend to return for the 2024-25 school year, please notify our school office and we will coordinate the transfer of records to your new school district. If you have any questions, please contact our office.
District 54 is committed to ensuring not only the academic success of each child, but also their social-emotional well-being. Similar to this winter, we are asking for your insight as a parent/guardian in creating the most well rounded picture of your child’s strengths and opportunities for growth. To gather your perspective, District 54 sent families of students in grades 3-8 an email link for each child to the D54 Social Emotional Learning Survey on Monday, April 15. Thank you in advance for participating in this survey, as we believe the home-school collaboration is critical to best support your child’s overall well-being. The deadline to complete the survey is May 10.

The countdown to an extraordinary journey has begun! Kindergarten registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open!
If you have a child who will be starting kindergarten in August 2024, we encourage you visit the Welcome to Kindergarten website website and begin registration today. As a current District 54 family, you will register through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. If you do not have your login, please contact [email protected].
After completing the online portion of your student’s kindergarten registration, please call our school to make an appointment to turn in necessary documents. If you can, bring your future kindergartner with you, as we have a special surprise for them! District 54 is also asking for your help in spreading the word about kindergarten registration. If you know of a child who will be 5 years old by September 1, 2024, please encourage the family to click here for the District 54 kindergarten website. The sooner students enroll, the sooner District 54 will know how many kindergarten teachers we need to best serve our kindergarten class of 2024-25.
