Hale Interpretive Nature Walk

Sunday, May 5, 2024 10:30 AM – Noon at the Kay Wojcik Conservation Area at Oak Hollow

Join your fellow Hale Wolves and their families for a morning of environmental education, mindfulness, and fun! The walk will be led by ecologists who will discuss the unique trees, plants, wildlife, and more along the 1/2 mile crushed limestone trail withing the high quality conservation area. We will be joined by Miss Wanda with Minds With Motion, who will help us get in the right mindset for our walk through nature.  On the walk you will learn about different common and rare plants and what types of species to look for on your next nature hike. All botany and ecology questions are welcome as we explore this oak/hickory natural area filled with diverse native wildflowers, restored prairie, and wetlands.  Stay for as little or as long as you’d like.
