November 01, 2019 – Principal’s Update
Dear Hale community,
The crazy weather yesterday did not stop us from enjoying our Halloween parade and classroom parties. Everyone had a blast! We are fortunate to enjoy fun filled traditions together! Last Friday our 3rd-6th graders also really enjoyed the gym jam. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who make these events extra special.
In keeping with previous traditions, our beautiful Veteran’s Day bulletin board is on display. If you know a veteran you would like us to include on our board please send in a picture with the following information: veteran’s name, rank, branch of service, years of service, and your student’s name(s) and the veterans relationship to the student. If you have submitted a picture in years past we have kept those and they are already on display.
You should have received your child’s school pictures from Lifetouch. Lifetouch will be back at Hale on Monday, November 4th for retakes. If your child will be having his/her picture retaken, please bring the original photo packet to school on retake day.
SEL (Social Emotional Learning) Survey for Parents of 3rd through 6th Graders:
As a school, we set goals at the beginning of every school year. One of our goals specifically focuses on the wellness of the Whole Child. By focusing on our students’ social emotional health, we help prepare them for the challenges, academic and other, that they might experience.
To help us better know our students, we have an electronic survey we are using this year. Teachers and students have already taken the survey. Recently, I sent an email to all parents of 3rd through 6th graders asking them to complete the social emotional survey for their child(ren). Our teachers followed up with the parents who still needed to complete the survey during conferences. Our goal is to have 100% of the parents of students in grade 3 through 6 take the survey. We hope you will be able to take a moment to complete this survey. Your perspective is essential as we partner to best support your child! If you have additional questions prior to the survey closing on November 8th, please do not hesitate to contact the Hale office.
